What's New

Recent improvements to MoveIt Delivery — pricing, coverage, and the delivery experience.

  1. Weight-based fuel surcharge

Heavier loads burn more fuel, so the fuel surcharge now scales with shipment weight. Quotes step up in tiers (≤1,000 kg, ≤2,500 kg, ≤4,000 kg, and above) on top of the base fuel rate, and the breakdown shows the weight add-on as its own line. Light loads are priced exactly as before.

  2. Region landing pages

Added nine GTA-region pages (Toronto, Peel, York, Durham, Halton, Hamilton, Waterloo, Niagara, Simcoe) plus reactivated city coverage so every served region has its own landing page with the postal-code areas we deliver to.

  3. Per-shipment discussion thread

Every shipment now has an append-only comment thread where the customer, driver, dispatcher, and admin can leave updates. Comments can’t be edited or deleted, so the conversation stays a reliable record of the job.

  4. Proof-of-delivery signoff with geo-tagged photos

Every delivery now requires before-and-after cargo photos with location data plus an on-site recipient signoff before it can be marked complete — a clearer handoff record for both customers and drivers.

  5. Driver & carrier marketplace

Approved independent drivers and local carriers can now claim open jobs directly from a marketplace board. Sign-up goes through an admin approval step, and drivers/carriers operate under their own insurance and equipment.

  6. Coverage zones dashboard

New Manage Zones dashboard for service-area coverage by postal-code prefix, with diameter and gap detection so mispriced outlying areas (Barrie, Markham, Durham, Guelph) are caught and fixed quickly.
